North Dorset entertained neighbours Yeovil on Saturday in front of a large crowd
of spectators. The 1st quarter of the game was a sparring match with neither team
gaining the ascendency until N.Dorset transgressed and the visitors kicked a penalty.
This transported Yeovil into top gear and they soon scored a converted try under
the posts followed by an unconverted one. N Dorset 0 - Yeovil 15. The home side
regained some momentum but could not capitalise on it and Yeovil pounced upon a mistake,
scoring another converted try bringing the half time score to 0 -22
The half time team talk worked wonders and N. Dorset came out like a rocket with
Rob (Moley) Morris scoring in the corner following a good forward thrust .Nth
Dorset 5 - Yeovil 22. North Dorset continued to pressurise the Yeovil line for a
long period and after a good inter-passing movement through forwards and backs
Dom Aviss scored in the corner bringing the score to 10 -22. Despite a very hard final
quarter North Dorset failed to score due to good defence from Yeovil until the last
minute of the game when Lewis Munster ran in a good try which was converted by
Sam Jones. N. Dorset 17 - Yeovil 22. Final Whistle!!
