large home crowd hoping for an exciting game. They were not disappointed, from the k.o. N. Dorset
pressed hard and were rewarded with a penalty slotted by Sam Jones 3 - 0. Devizes followed this
with a period of pressure, weathered by the home side until they were able to break away and with
a well placed Crossfield kick Mitchell Pearce went in for a try, converted by Sam Jones 10 - 0.
This stung Devizes into action and they scored a good converted try 10 - 7 There followed a period
of sustained pressure from N. Dorset and after several set scrums Captain Adam Trevis broke through
for a try again converted by Sam Jones. Not to be outdone Devizes scored from kick off 17 - 14.

this N. Dorset were yellow carded and Devizes capitalised with a converted try bringing the
half time score to 22 - 21.. The second half began with N. Dorset still a player short and Devizes
took full advantage with another try in the corner 22 - 26. Although N. Dorset were now restored
to full strength, Devizes were on a roll and scored 2 more unconverted tries 22 - 36. At this point
- Dorset rallied and pushed hard but were unable to score. Devizes got back into top gear and
scored a converted try to finish the game at 22 -43. Although the home supporters were
disappointed with the loss they knew they had witnessed a good game deservedly won by Devizes.
