North Dorset U16s travelled to Trowbridge on Sunday to contest a Dorset & Wilts Cup Fixture. In the interest of fair play several of the North Dorset lads took a turn playing for the opposition as Trowbridge were a man down. North Dorset crossed the whitewash first after strong forwards pressure resulted in a try. Further forwards pressure was evident as the game went on with North Dorset having dominance in the scrums. Some missed tackles by North Dorset meant that Trowbridge scored three tries in fairly quick succession, however North Dorset managed to cross the line again before half time making the score at the change of ends 17-10.
North Dorset found themselves defending their try line for long periods at the start the second half and Dorset’s pace out wide would have earned them at least 2 tries had the final pass gone to hand. It was not to be North Dorset’s day as neither side managed to trouble the score board in the second half meaning the final score remained 17-10.
