North Dorset U16s travelled to Frome in Somerset on Sunday morning to compete in the next round of the Dorset & Wilts cup!
North Dorset got off to a flyer scoring their first try in less than three minutes from kick off. Further tries were ran in in fairly quick succession through great forward play and slick back handling. The pick of the bunch being a try that was bought about through stout defending on North Dorset’s own line, winning a turn over and after several phases of play involving all members of the team, scoring under the posts.
North Dorset had built a 31-19 lead at half time but were in danger of throwing the match away as Frome came out fighting after the turn around. With three quarters of the match played and Frome ahead by 2 points it was time to for North Dorset to dig deep and find their rhythm again. It didn’t take long to rediscover the form of the first half and once they did North Dorset were able to run in four unanswered tries marking the final score Frome U16s 38 - North Dorset U16s 58
