What a win for the U14's North Dorset side against Bridport. The boys were pumped and ready to go from the first whistle, as Sam McConnell scored a quick opening try 2 minutes in.
The boys had to play 13 aside. However, a second try by scrum-half Alfie Hill lifted the Dorset boys' spirit.
A first try for North Dorset by loose-head Mo Hammoud, got the boys back in the lead, after 2 tries for the visiting side. Number 4, Charlie Smith scored 3 minutes before the whistle and to top it off, inside-centre Sid Moore scored the extra 2.
However, due to a lapse of concentration, Bridport snuck a try past the boys to finish the first half at 22-19 to North Dorset.
In the second half, however, the boys showed the strength of their teamwork. A try for hooker Will Hoskins gave him his second try of the season and North Dorset, their 5th try of the match.
A second try for second-row Sam McConnell right under the post gave fullback Sam Barnes an easy conversion.
After an outstanding tackle by fly-half Kit Dixon, outside-centre Rares Nicoara scored an incredible try in the corner, and there was no stopping him. A little step from Rares gave him the space to score again, less than 3 minutes later under the posts and unable to disappoint, Sam Barnes topped it off with the extra 2 points.
A late try from Bridport closed the gap, however, the Dorset boys were comfortably ahead as the curtain drew on the game at 46-24.
