ND Badgers vs Combe Down II

Debutants Josh Wyman, Sam Cripps and Will Collins, pulled on the green shirt for a long time. Sun was shining, and with that, tries came flooding in. The forwards' platform was world-class Player of The Match. Jack Spencer played an absolute stormer. He carried all game; darts were on fire and had plenty of turnovers at scrum time but somehow didn't get on the score sheet. We did see the backs get a lot more ball this time out with Harry Phipps bagging four tries to add to his ever-growing tally, and we also saw big tries from Mitchell Pearce, Brad Bignall, Tom Rose and our playmaker Dan Till. Big shout to our returning hard-running backrower Toby Davies on getting No1 Muppet of the day for dropping the ball over the try line after running it from 20m out. No2 goes to our big lovable teddy bear manager Vince Stone for breaking Sam Vincent's nose in a big smash tackle. No3 goes to the debutant who has trained hard all week but unfortunately lasted 2 minutes on the pitch as he rolled his ankle poor, poor Josh Wyman.

Badgers roll on 65-0 winners against a Coombe Down team that never stopped giving 100% effort and commitment for the entire match. We want to thank club referee Tom Stewart for stepping up and saving the game from being called off.

9th April, ND Badgers take on Melksham 2s at home in their last game of the season!
