A three-time BAFTA awarding winning director and show runner, James has worked at the top of the wildlife filmmaking business for over twenty years. He was series director on one of the BBC’s most successful worldwide brands, the adventure series: Deadly60 and co-series producer on the EMMY award winning series Planet Earth II . His series producer credits include, Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory ( Disney/Nat Geo ) , Undiscovered Worlds ( BBC ), , Great Barrier Reef, The Great British Year and Life in the Air ( BBC ) and Gangs of Lemur Island ( Love Nature ) and he produced an episode of Life Cold Blood with Sir David Attenborough. As a consulting producer on Welcome to Earth ( Nat Geo ) he was responsible for getting Will Smith close to the wildlife action in Africa’s Serengeti and the Coral sea. He lead the BBC specialist dive team for seven years and was as head of the NHU’s digital team - responsible for global strategy for digital natural history, across multiple platforms including the record breaking content for Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II.
When he isn’t on an adventure, James coaches youth rugby , experiments with cocktails and cooks over fire.
