Dorset and Wilts 1 South Champions North Dorset come into this game as firm favourites after they are currently on a 16-match unbeaten run, which goes back to 30th October 2021. East Dorset Dockers however, come into the game on a rocky bit of form, with only one victory in their last 5 matches, that coming in the cup semi-final against Oakmeadians, who they lost to in the league the previous week. Their suggests their cup form is  superior to their league form which should leave North on full alert.

North Dorset have won the vase 4 times in recent times.
2002/2003 season beating Westbury in the final.
2004/2005 season beating Swindon 27-25 in the final.
2008/2009 Season beating Devizes 24-7 in the final.
2009/2010 Season beating Corsham 31-16 in the final.
They were runners up in the 2006/2007 & 2011/2012 losing both times to Wootton Bassett

East Dorset Dockers are a new club this season, after a merger between Dorset Dockers and East Dorset. Dorset Dockers did win the vase in 2018/2019 beating Minety 36 – 17 in the final.

It is worth noting that all of North Dorsets vase victories came when level 7 clubs were involved in the vase. This changed to just level 8 clubs in 2012.

 Route to the final

North beat Puddletown 31 - 5, before both teams received a bye in the quarter finals before East Dorset Dockers overcome Oakmeadians 31 - 3 and North Dorset beat Melksham 49 -22 in the semi finals

Previous Results this Season 

North have beaten their Easten counterparts in both league games. However, East Dorset were winning for large parts of their first fixture
