East Dorset Dockers

Were founded August 2018 when East Dorset RFC and Dorset Dockers merged to become East Dorset Dockers.

you can read the England Rugby article about their merger here https://www.englandrugby.com/news/article/clubs-combine-as-east-dorset-dockers

Form

North bounced back from their opening day defeat to Bournemouth with a resounding win against Bridport last weekend.

East Dorset Dockers were given a bye by Sherborne first round and second round they squeezed past Blandford 12 -10 in a highly competitive game.

The Stats

As East Dorset Dockers have only recently been formed there is no history between the clubs.

However, North did play Dorset Dockers on 5 occasions between 2015 and 2017. North winning 4 and their being 1 draw. Last game between the two clubs was a very close encounter where it finished 14 – 12 in Norths favour.

Norths record win against Dockers came in the Dorset & Wilts Intermediate Cup Quarter Finals winning 60 – 20.

East Dorset didn’t play North’s 1st XV in the league.

The Teams

North have a few changes from last weekend. One change in the pack, Gavin Weeks steps in for Rob Morris who is away with birthday celebrations (Lets hope he isn’t at the cinema again). Few more changes in the backs, wingers Kurt Murray and Jake Cannings are replaced by Henry Lunn and last weeks outside centre Jonathan Hooper. Luke Spicer returns taking Hoopers 13 shirt.

On the bench, Both Robbie Sampson and Freddie Eggleton return to the fold after a run out for the Badgers last weekend. Freddie is returning from a nasty looking injury in preseason.
