This season, we'll be moving closer towards the latest England Rugby Training Journey. Getting there will involve a simple gap analysis to see where our coaches and referees are currently at training and qualification wise.
You will see on the graphic below is that we will then be moving towards the England Rugby Coaching Award (ERCA) and England Rugby Refereeing Award (ERRA) for U14s and above.
The recently release courses for these qualifications is as follows. The club will pay for these courses hours you wish to attend - those who have attended and qualified have found them invaluable.

Before booking on coaches must have completed the HEADCASE Concussion Awareness Training Module, which they need to access with their GMS username and password, so it is added to their records - englandrugby.com/participation/playing/headcase)

Over the last couple of weeks, the RFU have received a number of enquiries regarding coaches and referees struggling to book onto England Rugby Coaching or Refereeing Award courses. This is mostly due to them having not completed HEADCASE in the last 12 months; HEADCASE is a pre requisite for all of our award courses. To access HEADCASE please follow the link- bit.ly/3xH1YsM
Coaches, referees, and volunteers will need to book onto HEADCASE through GMS. Once the booking is complete, they will receive an email containing a direct link to complete the e-learning. Once the e-learning is complete it will show on the individuals GMS record within 2-3 working days. Once HEADCASE is showing on their record they should them be able to book onto the course.
