Friday Night Touch Returns this Friday
FNT restarts on the 16th April which will conveniently coincides with the reopening of the Club house bar!!
Hopeful (and expecting ) of very good numbers of people wishing to take part again we have decided to change the format and instead of having a league with pre organised set teams we intend to organise teams in the evenings. For this reason, it is important that we know who plans to attend. An invite will be sent out in advance on Spond.
We intend to play the youth and seniors at the same time (still separate) (seniors made up of under 18’s and up, both men and women) to make use of natural light and pitch space so will be starting at 6.30 and running for as long as light allows (8pm ish) those that can’t get there before 6.30 can still arrive when able to and will be added to teams accordingly.
Youth Touch - 6:30pm Start
Please note you must have marked as coming on Spond to play.
Non-Competitive Mixed Youth Touch Rugby (U13 - U16)… Friday nights under lights. Fortnightly chance to play, stay fit, make new friends, have fun. A run out before the Senior games… stay on to watch the Senior games.
AIM: To promote integration and camaraderie across the Youth teams and to practice skills, tactics and communication with different people to usual.
Squads of 15 for 10-a-side match with rolling replacements.
Teams will be mixed across age groups and gender and will be confirmed prior to Friday as team sheets based on responses to the spond invite.
Match to be 4 x 12 minute quarters with 3 minute sanitizing and drinks breaks in between - total playing time 48 minutes.
Match ball will be Size 4.
To avoid bibs, one team to wear NDRFC shirts, the others random different ones - to be confirmed in the team sheet prior to Friday.
Numbers limited as per the invite on 'first come first served' basis - waiting list works in Spond which will allow us to gauge numbers for a second game.
COVID-19 protocols will apply.
Seniors Touch - 6:30pm Start
Will be more open with multiple games being played while daylight allows. However you will still need to use spond to mark that you are playing. As we need to keep track of attendance etc and it will also allow us to plan for appropriate numbers.
We are using the app Spond to organize activities and share information. Open the link to join: group.spond.com/QRHIP
