We have produced a FAQ document which can be found here COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions or read below.
Q: How is COVID-19 managed at the Club?
A: NDRFC have a COVID-19 Committee comprised of our: Director of Safeguarding; Director of
Facilities; Directors of Rugby; Secretary. The COVID-19 Committee meets weekly to review
emerging matters and is chaired by our Director of Safeguarding.
Q: What happens if there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 at the Club?
A: At least two members of the COVID-19 Committee convene, review the case and decide on the
actions and communications necessary. All decisions are based on whether the confirmed case has
been in close contact with others at the club as defined by the NHS and Public Health England.
When there is a confirmed case, all members will be advised.
Q: How do I sign in at the Club?
A: You should use the NHS COVID-19 smartphone app and scan the NHS Test and Trace QR code
if possible. If it is not possible for you to do this, you should scan the scan the Guestbook QR code
and register. Should neither of these approaches work for you, please advise the Clubhouse
Manager or Bar Staff of your presence on the grounds.
Q: If there is a confirmed case in one of the rugby teams, does the whole team have to self-
isolate?
A: No. Rugby activity that is following the Club guidance based on return to play protocols is not
deemed to be close contact and is considered low risk. It is essential to follow the Club guidance
and return to play protocols.
Q: If anyone has been asked to self-isolate by work or school, should they attend the Club for
rugby or social activity?
A: No. Anyone who has been asked to self-isolate by another organisation should not attend the
Club for the same period, even if they do not have symptoms of COVID-19.
Q: If I, or one my family, has symptoms of COVID-19 what should I do?
A: You should follow current HM Government and NHS advice. Book a test at gov.uk/get-
coronavirus-test. If you have problems using the online service call 119, lines are open from 7am to
11pm. Whilst waiting for your test, you should self-isolate in accordance with current guidelines and
not attend the Club.
Q: What do I need to do when spectating?
A: Please spectate at a safe distance from the rugby session area as directed by the coaches and
try to stay at least 2 metres (3 steps) away from anyone you do not live with (or anyone not in your
support bubble).
Q: When should I, or a member of my family / group, wear a face covering in the clubhouse?
A: Everyone must wear a face covering in the clubhouse, except when seated at a table to eat or
drink, or if they are exempt - which includes children under the age of 11. For further guidance on
face coverings, please visit gov.uk/coronavirus
Q: What should I, or a member of my family, do if the weather takes a turn for the worse?
A: You should shelter in your vehicle or return home. Please do not congregate in the clubhouse or
shelter in vehicles with others outside your household / support bubble.
Q: When can I, or a member of my family / group, be seated at a table in the clubhouse?
A: The clubhouse offers a table bar service on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings only.
On Sunday mornings, a takeaway service for food and drink is available and tables will not be laid
out.
Q: I’m generally concerned about COVID-19, what should I do in terms of rugby activity?
A: The COVID-19 situation means different things to different people; accordingly we encourage
you to return to rugby activity only when you are comfortable to do so. We are here to support you
with whatever feels right for you.
Q: Who should I contact if I have any other questions or concerns?
A: You should contact the Director of Safeguarding in the first instance by email at
