Volunteer Opportunities

Dear Member

We are now coming to the end of a hugely successful season across your club. All those involved in running NDRFC have managed to achieve so much over the last 12 months, but we cannot rest on our laurels. We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to help and we are aware that women are underrepresented on the board. If you have spare time available and are interested in how you might be able to support North Dorset, then we would like to hear from you. We currently have opportunities in the following areas:

Director of Rugby

The Director of Rugby sits on the board and is responsible for the recruitment, development and management of players and coaches across the teams at the club. With the support of the chairs of both Youth and Minis as well as the Head Coach, the Director of Rugby is the spearhead for leading the club into a new phase of playing success. They set the plan and organise the playing structure to ensure that we can achieve this success. Treasurer

The club’s treasurer sits on the board and is responsible for the financial management of the rugby club. He or she is supported by our external accountants who look after all elements of the ledger management, invoice processing, bank reconciliation and payroll. The treasurer processes all payments and ensures that all relevant financial controls are in place. In addition, they will take ownership of the club’s budget and financial planning. If you have an acumen for financial management then this could be for you. Please note that you do not need to be an accountant to undertake this role. Support from within the current board is available.

Social Media

This person will take on responsibility for managing the club’s social media across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. They will work in conjunction with the Communication Director and all other club stakeholders to help us communicate with our community. If you have a passion for social media and think you might be able to help, then we’d love to hear from you

Grants and Donations

This volunteer will help to investigate any opportunities for grants, donations and other funding opportunities available to the club to assist us in improving all areas of the club.

Events Organisation

The club is looking for individual(s) to help plan and manage the major events that the club organises throughout the year. If you have good organisational skills and an interest in event planning, then this could be of interest to you.

Coaching Support

We are keen to build up a pool of people who can support coaching on an ad-hoc basis across the club. If you have previous experience or are looking to start on a coaching pathway, then we are keen to hear from you. Assistance with the funding of coaching qualifications will be given.

If you have an interest in joining the team that runs your club and helping us drive it forward in these or any other areas, then please contact Ian Archer at secretary@ndrfc.co.uk

Kind Regards

The Board
