World’s Biggest Beer Garden Coming to North Dorset RFC this Summer

Starting on Friday, July 10th, the World’s Biggest Beer Garden will allow you to enjoy your favourite drinks in the exquisite surroundings of North Dorset RFC. Set in the middle of the Dorset countryside with incredible views of the Mere Downs and Blackmore Vale  which surround the club. It is the ideal location to eat, drink, relax, and social distance.

It is planned the WBBG will be open every Thursday evening 6 pm until 10pm, Friday evening from 6 pm until last orders at 10pm and on Saturdays from 4 pm until last orders at 10pm.

Although not necessary, you can book a table for your family or you and five other friends.

There will be no food served on Thursdays. On Saturdays Dan's Ice Creams will be there to keep you cool.

If you want to do a bit of exercise before relaxing, our Max Biles Ground is open for you to stretch your legs, kick a ball around. If you are brave enough, have a crack at our club captains challenge. Find out more by clicking here 

Plenty of space for your children big or small to run around in, play a bit of frisbe, french cricket, football etc

We regret that dogs are not allowed anywhere on our premises, even on a lead. 

North Dorset RFC is a licenced premises you are not allowed to bring your own alcohol onto the clubs grounds. Anyone caught with their own alcohol will be asked to leave.

Car Parking

Parking will be in the north car park (main car park will be closed). All guests will then walk towards the club. There will be a sign-in desk, near the new shed, which will be manned by a host. This host will take contact details (name & phone number) and explain how the club will be operating.

If you arrive by foot, bike or any other means, you must enter the clubs grounds via the North car park and register with our host.


There are a limited number of benches and picnic tables available. There are some on the patio; please be mindful of the elderly and disabled. Pitches 1 & 2 are available to be sat on, a great opportunity to get your picnic blanket or camping chairs out.

How to Order Drinks

The main club bar will be open; please enter the clubhouse from the doors facing pitch number 1; you will see social distancing markers on the floor. Please order from the last marker. You will then move to the end of the bar where you will pay and pick up your drinks; there will be trays available. To exit the building, please use the clubs main entrance.

We will only be accepting payment by card.

How to Order Food

Please order your food by the doors on the ramp by the changing rooms. When your order is ready for collection, you will be called on the PA. 

Last orders for food is at 9:30 pm


Disabled - please use the main accessible toilet 

Men's - please use the men's toilet in the changing room block

Women's - please use the women's toilet in the changing room block. Entry by the door around the back on the changing room block
